Debbie Piper has extensive interior design experience with both residential and commercial clients in Central Oregon for over 22 years. Her expertise comes from years of working in creative and management roles in virtually every aspect of the design industry, from architectural design to home staging and everything in between.
Having had the good fortune of working for, and with, some of the best builders in the region, she has helped clients create beautiful environments that support her client’s lifestyles.
Her credits include several award winning homes on the Central Oregon Builders Association Tour of Homes for whole-house design as well as individual portions of projects.
When she’s not involved with a project Debbie enjoys skiing, hiking and creating jewelry and paper art.
“I always try to remember who the “ultimate user” is...If you love something and the designer tells you to get rid of it, you may need to get rid of the designer. That said; it’s my job to not let people make mistakes with respect to the types of materials and the way they are used on a project.”
Jenn Adams has worked in the tile industry for over nine years. With a Fine Art degree in Printmaking and a love of mathematics and ceramics, the design world is a perfect fit. She enjoys creating textures and using color to express the style of the house and the personalities of the home owners.
She is filled with a true desire to help clients fall in love with their spaces. Jenn’s ability to listen to people’s needs and apply the technical information necessary to have a successful project helps her make the sometimes daunting tile selection process fun.
When not at work, Jenn can be found in her garden, creating art, or practicing her cooking skills while feeding her friends and family. She also enjoys camping and hot spring hopping with her family.
Interior Design being a passion of Michelle’s, she decided to make it a full time career in 2001. While building her own house in Southern Ohio in 2000, she realized that design interior spaces could be a fulfilling career. On an impulse, she applied to and was accepted to Art School at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. She has been helping clients in Bend for about 10 years.
After graduating with honors, Michelle moved back to her long-missed home of Oregon and started working with Tammy and Jenn. She also holds Minors in Creative Writing, Art History and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management from the University of Oregon.
Michelle has comprehensive knowledge of all phases of both Residential and Commercial construction and design -- from laying concrete and framing to going over detailed items on a punch list. Her favorite aspect of design is the satisfaction her clients get from seeing their ideas come to fruition. Michelle has a great sense of humor and style that she eagerly shares while getting to know her clients personally. She specializes in material selection, space planning, color coordinating and universal design.
Though her personal design style is eclectic (as she likes to layer aspects of singular design styles) she is oft heard saying “more is more” -- Michelle is versed in all design aesthetics. She loves to thrift shop and frequent antique shops for unique accessories and design ideas. She is also very skilled at helping her clients refine their style and making their spaces reflect their own taste.
When not at the Baptista tile showroom or on a job site, Michelle can be found outdoors: running, hiking, hunting or spending time with her husband, Dan; three kiddos and two dogs. But come football season, she will be watching her beloved Ducks!
